Latest BuildNorm updates

BuildNorm is actively developed for Cloud and Desktop workflows, with new languages, licensing options and multilingual estimate preparation features.

22 September 2026 BuildNorm has expanded its normative database with two new items for breaking out and lowering the level of existing concrete slabs. The new norms cover work for slab thicknesses up to 10 cm and over 10 cm and include labor and machine-time norms. The norms represent averaged values and can be adjusted using coefficients according to the specific execution conditions.
9 September 2026 BuildNorm has completed a major optimization of its normative base. Duplicate and overlapping work positions have been removed, while work names have been revised to be not only technically correct but also intuitive and easy to understand. The work hierarchy has been reorganized to follow real construction processes and the way work is actually selected and planned on site. Construction types are now used more consistently to show only relevant operations, while different technologies remain separated where they require different labor or installation methods. The result is a cleaner, more logical and easier-to-use normative base for planning construction and repair works.
28 July 2026 BuildNorm now includes Section IX – Landscaping and Fencing. The new section introduces estimating standards for the installation of fence systems, gates, and wickets. General construction activities such as excavation, concrete works, reinforcement, and foundations continue to be selected from the existing sections, eliminating duplication and ensuring a consistent estimating workflow. Section IX also provides the foundation for future external works, including paving, drainage, retaining walls, landscaping, and small architectural forms.

From estimate setup to XLSX export

1

Create estimate

Define project name, date and hourly rates for labor and equipment.

2

Select construction type

Choose the construction system that matches your project structure.

3

Add norms and edit

Add norm positions, set quantities and adjust labor or equipment time.

4

Export estimate

Generate a structured XLSX file ready for review, editing and printing.

Built around real construction workflows

▦

Organize estimates by construction system

Keep work sections, construction types and estimate rows structured from the beginning instead of rebuilding tables manually for every project.
